FAQ

Our route and services are only open to registered participants who have met the fundraising and other requirements. If your family or friends cannot join you as a registered Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression  participant, invite them be at one of the cheering stations along the route where they can meet and support you. We will let you know where these cheering stations will be located several weeks prior to your Event. These are safe and convenient places for them to cheer you on.

Unfortunately, we cannot support start-up events in additional cities. Each official Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression is a event that can attract thousands of participants, hundreds of crew members and volunteers, to a carefully coordinated 3 mile route . The Events are centrally managed out of the Versie Christian Companion Elderly And Disabled Care Services headquarters in Las Vegas, NV; this enables us to ensure the safety and quality of each event, while carefully managing costs. Because of our trademark, no event can be named or called an " Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression" nor can any other event or activity use "TBI/Depression" in its name in any way, unless it is part of the official Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression event. Fundraising activities may be designated as "in support of the Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression" or something similar.

Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression has become a national series of 3-mile fundraising events launched in 2014 by Versie Christian Companion Elderly And Disabled Care Services. Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression event is a project of Versie Christian Companion Elderly And Disabled Care Services.

For the safety and comfort of all Walkers, Crew, Staff, and Volunteers, we ask that you do not bring your pet(s) to any element of the Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression event. We are not equipped to accommodate pets at any point and several of the sites we use throughout the event have restrictions. We are also mindful of fellow participants fears/allergies. We truly love animals and we appreciate your pet's enthusiasm, but it would be best for all if he/she stays home for the event. Thanks in advance for your cooperation on this matter.

Each Walker commits to raising a minimum of $2,000.00 in cash donations.

The goal of the Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression is to raise as much money as possible to provide access to care and fund research leading to a permanent cure or permanant relief for TBI/Depression. While we might have more people involved with a lower fundraising commitment (or no fundraising at all), the Awareness Walk is organized so that a manageable number of people can participate in the event while simultaneously yielding a high amount of donations going to the cause. The complexity of the Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression requires a structure different than other events of a shorter distance or time. Many different types of events have proven successful in raising money for TBI/Depression and we’re glad so many opportunities exist for people to get involved, in some way, to battle this diagnosis.

All donations are cash only and non-refundable. The money you’ve raised will go to work in the community helping those affected by TBI/Depression.
