The charities and organizations below can provide you aid and assistance. In addition, there are other government run programs in Pennsylvania that can provide you with assistance.

Adams Electric Cooperative
Customer donations created Project Helping Hand charity group, which aids less fortunate co-op members who are unable to pay their electric bills.

Central Electric Cooperative
Funds from employees, members, and Cooperative matching funds created the Family Fund Energy Assistance Program organization that assists member-families with paying high winter heating bills.

Citizens Energy Oil Heat Program
This organization provides free and discounted heating oil to Pennsylvania families in need.

 

Dollar Energy Fund
This charity fund partners with about 20 utility companies across the state to help families in need of paying for their utility service.

 

Equitable Gas
The Hardship Fund provides additional cash grants for the repair/replacement of defective heating equipment. 412-395-3254

Get free advice from lawyers and attorneys who work for non-profit law firms throughout Pennsylvania.

 

Montgomery County
Has created an emergency fuel fund for both disabled and seniors, and it offers one-time payments when all other charities and programs cannot resolve an emergency.

 

National Fuel Gas
Neighbor For Neighbor Heat Fund charity was created by customers, employees and shareholder donations, and the grants to prevent disconnection of utility or heating service, pay current or past due utility and heating bills, and also to help those in need purchase home heating fuel.

Family In Need Fund is a charity organization that will help with a variety of bills.

 

Operation Round-Up

Many of the electric Cooperatives, such as Claverack Electric Cooperative, REA Energy Cooperative, and many others donate to this charity, which will help those in need with a variety of bills, including medical, utility, rent, and other emergencies.

 

PECO
Receive aid from Matching Energy Assistance Fund (MEAF), which is an energy assistance program that enables PECO Energy to help lower income, residential customers in its service territory with energy bill payments.

 

Philadelphia Utility Emergency Services Fund
The Philadelphia Utility Emergency Services Fund provides over $2 million annually in energy bill

 

PPL
PPL customers and employees created the Operation Help charity, which will assist with paying home heating bills, including electric, oil, natural gas, or coal.

Operation SHARE, which is an organization created by the company and customers, provides emergency financial cash grants to pay heating bills for families in Pennsylvania with financial hardships.

 

Pennsylvania Power Company
The Reach Hardship Fund assists lower income customers in Pennsylvania with paying energy bills.

 

Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative
Lights On is a charity program to help needy Pennsylvania family members with paying their electric bills.

 

Spring City and Royersford
A one time cash grant can be provided through Project Outreach, and it will provide up to 150 gallons of heating oil per household to residents.
