Grants for Reentry Programs for Ex-Offenders

According to the U.S. Office of Justice Programs and the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), more than 650,000 prisoners are released every year in the U.S. More than two-thirds of ex-offenders are re-arrested, and half return to prison within three years of release. Grants are available for reentry programs designed to change these sobering statistics. Programs providing housing, job training, and ex-offender mentoring are all eligible for grants from federal and state programs.
