Homeless Helpers
Dedicated to Helping the Working Poor and Homeless
http://homelesshelpers.org/
We are a volunteer-based non-profit organization and have received 501 c 3 tax deductible status from the IRS. Our volunteers have nearly 20 combined years of experience working directly with those on the streets in our community. We are inspired by the opportunity to work together and spread our common cause of compassion. There are so many in need around us and sometimes just a little hope can go a long way.
Mission Statement
Homeless Helpers is dedicated and committed to serving the working poor and homeless community in the Las Vegas valley. We provide meals at nighttime to best accommodate those working during the day and always maintain a mobile feeding service to reach those unable to easily access the shelters themselves.
We also provide vitamins to supplement the diet of those we feed and blankets, jackets, hot chocolate, and soup in the colder seasons. We provide bus passes and other transportation services to increase mobility. We also pass out any donations accordingly. For example, we supply women’s hygiene products and diapers to female/mothers and clothing to the appropriate recipient. In addition, we have expanded our mission to include transitional housing services. This program is specifically designed to help those living on the streets to find suitable shelter.
Our long-term goal is to obtain a shelter where our services can be expanded to counseling, job placement services, identification/document assistance, free medical care, and nighttime shelter. Every donation we get is greatly appreciated and again, we are a nonprofit tax-deductible grass roots organization.
