Atlanta Emergency Aid Ministries
This group provides a variety of aid to Atlanta citizens, including providing help with one of the most basic and critical needs, that being food. The food that they provide is donated or purchased with contributions from people like you, so your support is needed. In addition, this charity provides emergency assistance to people who need help with paying for other bills such as rent, transportation to jobs, housing, job counseling, training, and more.
Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA
This organization helps people find jobs, and provides job training. They have provided over 165,000 hours of job training; provided services including referral, information, and they offer a Job Search Resource Center access to over 25,000 individuals.
Operation Roundup
Most utility and gas companies in Georgia offer this charity program, and it provides assistance to families and individuals who are facing serious hardships, either short-term or long-term hardships. It will provide help with a variety of bills, including utility, medical, and others.
Project SHARE
This program is available statewide and it will help those in need. It is funded by electric utility customers who donate their contributions through their monthly electric bills. This assistance program is administered by The Salvation Army.

The HEAT program is run by the Georgia Department of Human Resources through local Community Action Agencies. The natural gas industry as well as private citizens provide funding.
